After finishing his role in PYRITE as Ralph’s boss,
J. Israel Greene went on to create Greenetree Productions in Chicago, where he now acts, and also
serves as Artistic Director.
In late 2010, he directed BLUES FOR AN ALABAMA SKY for Greenetree, which was highly recommended by both The Chicago Reader and The Windy City Times.
Then in Fall 2011, J. Israel played the leading role in Greenetree’s critically-acclaimed play YELLOWMAN, which had an extended run at
Stage 773 on Chicago’s north side.
